Waaree Energies Pvt Ltd, an India-based solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer, design engineering, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of solar PV power plants, has successfully won a contract to set up a 5.75 MW thin film solar PV power plant at Shree Saibaba sugar factory in Maharashtra.
The solar power plant is scheduled to be constructed adjacent to the sugar factory, will provide the much needed momentum for grid base solar power in the state of Maharashtra. Wareee will be providing maintenance services once the project is operational.
According to Adinath Sangwe, Technical Director of Shree Saibaba sugar factory, the order has been awarded to Waaree for its experience of in-time execution of MW solar PV projects. has given us immense confidence in them. This power plant will be one of its kind in Maharashtra, and will provide the much needed momentum for grid base solar power in Maharashtra.’ This is the first step in the state towards solar power.
